I loved this video of Ashton Kutcher’s speech at the Teen Choice Awards of 2013 (credited for the following footage) so much that I had to share it with you here. Parenting teenagers is something I actually look forward to. I relish the opportunities to sit in conversation with my 5 and 2 year olds albeit not a discussion on quality of life so much at this stage. I’m sure by the time I get to being a Mum of teenagers, many LEN Mumma’s will have wisdom and guidance to help me out with the finer details of quality teenage parenting.
On a side note, I also have a thing for calling people by their real name. I just think it feels more real and connected and authentic and powerful. Trivial example, the other day I was visiting my cousin who I have almost always called Debbie – or even Deb. Deb showed me her ridiculously cute new bed buy vicodin detroit and bed linen for her little girl and I instantly exclaimed “Oh Deborah!” in some mad recognition of the depth of my affection for her eye for fashion and detail and that delish doona cover and custom painted metal bedhead. Ok it is late and I am definitely rambling here.
This video is a must watch for parents maybe even together with their teenagers. Mostly because it manages to be light, even though it is deep. So anyway, watch and you will maybe get it. “Oh Chris!”
