Tasmanian Handcrafted Blackwood Brooch Artist Helen Mansbridge

Meet the gorgeous Helen Mansbridge, the face behind our delightful handcrafted Tasmanian blackwood brooches and an Australian woman in business. Helen is the creator and visionary of Pili Pala Pieces and a a very busy wife and mother of 2 children just same ages as mine! A 4-year-old and a 1-year-old :). Helen is a qualified health professional who worked for 7 years as a Speech Pathologist but who needed art and craft as a comforting and exciting outlet for her more artistic side.Pili Pala Tasmanian Blackwood Brooch Cloud BackEco Jewellery Making Australia with Helen

At the end of 2009 Helen took the leap to Pili Pala as a  full time venture and we are so thrilled that she did. Her work is delightful; each brooch features papers from alEco Jewellery Making Australia at Buxton Babyl around the world encased beneath a layer of resin.  They have a silver famvir online uk twist clasp brooch backing and depending on where the paper is cut, the design will vary; hence each brooch is unique.

If you are seeking something special in the Geelong area for that perfect birthday gift, a gorgeous idea for Christmas this 2012 or simply wanting to spoil someone important in your life this is a sweet idea for a gift that you can either collect locally or order online nationwide; it also posts well for overseas or international family members and the Australian wood gives it that ‘Aussie’ touch.

We feel fantastic about welcoming Helen as another talented Australian artist of small production to our team and hope that you will support and give thanks to her with us.

Smiles,

Pippa: Director at Buxton Baby
